General Questions

What is a mobile notary?

A mobile notary travels to your home, office, hospital, or another convenient location to notarize your documents instead of requiring you to visit a notary's office. LANotary2Go brings professional notarization directly to you.

What areas do you serve?

We serve East Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, West Baton Rouge, and Iberville Parishes. If you're outside this area, contact us—we may still be able to help depending on your situation.

Are you licensed and bonded?

Yes. LANotary2Go is a licensed Louisiana notary public and bonded. (Add E&O insurance coverage once confirmed.)

What are your hours of operation?

We're available 24/7 by appointment. Same-day and short-notice requests can often be accommodated within 2–3 hours, depending on your location.

Services & Documents

What types of documents can you notarize?

We notarize powers of attorney, wills and estate documents, affidavits, acknowledgements, vehicle bills of sale, title documents, jurats requiring an administered oath, and many other legal documents. Visit our Services page for a complete list.

Can you notarize documents in languages other than English?

Notarizations are conducted in English. The signer must be able to understand the document being signed. (Update if additional languages are offered.)

Do you offer apostille services?

We provide apostille assistance by ensuring your documents are properly notarized before submission. The apostille certificate itself is issued by the Louisiana Secretary of State.

Do you offer Remote Online Notarization (RON)?

Not at this time. All notarizations are currently performed in person. (Update if Remote Online Notarization becomes available.)

Appointments & Scheduling

How far in advance do I need to schedule?

Advance scheduling is always welcome but not required. Same-day and short-notice appointments are often available within 2–3 hours, depending on your location.

Can you come to a hospital or nursing home?

Yes. We provide bedside notary services for hospitals, nursing homes, and other care facilities, including after-hours visits for urgent situations.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Please call or text (225) 200-5001 as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. We'll work with you to find another convenient time. (Add cancellation policy if applicable.)

How long does a notary appointment take?

Most single-document notarizations take only a few minutes once everyone is present. More complex appointments, such as estate planning signings with multiple participants, may require additional time.

Identification & Requirements

What ID do I need to bring?

Please bring a current, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport. The name on your ID must exactly match the name on the document.

Should I sign the documents before the notary arrives?

No. Do not sign your documents before your appointment. Documents must generally be signed in the notary's presence for the notarization to be valid.

Can someone sign on behalf of another person?

In most cases, no. The individual named in the document must personally appear before the notary and sign the document. If someone cannot physically sign, contact us beforehand so we can discuss the appropriate legal process.

What if a signer cannot physically sign?

Louisiana law provides a specific procedure for individuals who are physically unable to sign. Contact us before your appointment so we can determine the proper process for your situation.
